We recently had the pleasure of partnering with Broadway Market to host the November Baltimore Letters meetup! For those not familiar with the organization, Baltimore Letters was created by a few creatives here in the city that have a passion for lettering and wanted to meet others who did as well. Socializing, networking and collaborating with other artists in the community is extremely important and we love to see it!
Broadway Market was the perfect venue for a meetup like this, as the artists were able to gather across a few tables and sample food from a variety of the vendors inside the market. We loved being able to chat and create while grabbing a few cocktails from the bar, Fat Tiger.
Broadway Market also gave each Baltimore Letters artist the opportunity to display a piece of work on a gallery wall in the market. Be sure to check out some of the work if you pop into Broadway Market and show these local creatives some love on social media. You can even buy a piece if you are interested, their contact information is under each piece of artwork.
The whole experience was great and a fun learning experience for our team. As a photographer, I feel like I was able to understand a lot more of about the lettering world. It was also a pleasure to partner up with another organization here in the city geared around connecting artists.
That same week, we were super excited to work with one of the Baltimore Letters artists, Amanda Mustard, to create a holiday mural that is now displayed outside the entrance to Broadway Market. It was really fun to see how Amanda was able to take our rough idea, illustrate it digitally, and then bring it to life by hand painting the mural.
A big thanks to the extremely talented team at The Eden Co who created a weather proof mural structure that can live outside through the holidays. We really enjoyed working on this collaboration and hope to do more in the future.
We encourage everyone in the area to stop by and snag a photo before the end of the holiday season! Be sure to tag #thebmorecreatives to spread the holiday cheer and for a chance to be featured on our page!
